Pearls

Pearls are a timeless piece but to make them a little trendier try necklaces that have pearls incorporated into the design. At Dean-Kingston we have unconventional necklaces by Angel Cort. These necklaces are statement pieces that will add something to any outfit. Angel Court necklaces are all vintage with some one of a kind charms. The necklace on the left is available for $246 and the one on the right is available for $268.

Fur Vests

This fall fur vests are pretty much a wardrobe staple. Fur is being seen on all the runways by just about every designer. If you don't want to wear real fur then try faux, it looks just as good. Fur accents on vests and bags are a good way to incorporate wearing fur if you don't want a vest or coat. We have two faux fur vests available at Dean-Kingston for $118 and $175

Lace-Up Boots

Lace-up boots are a great way to transition into fall. These boots come in a variety of colors and styles; they can look rocker or vintage chic. Peep toes add a sense of girliness to something edgy. Lace-up boots are great to wear with jeans, leggings, dresses, or even shorts. Throw them on with a blazer or leather jacket for an easy polished look.

Seasonless Dressing

An emerging new trend being seen in the fashion industry is seasonless dressing. A few years ago each season there was a new "must have" trend which is now no longer the case. Designers are are now not worried about particular trends but instead creating something they feel passionate about. Now instead of having ten must-have pieces each season, a consumer should be more focused on having ten investment pieces in their wardrobe. This change could be a result of the economy, consumers feel it is more important to buy investment pieces as opposed to buying a new trendy wardrobe each season.
European trends are now influencing American fashion more than ever. Monochromatic dressing is the newest color trend. Wearing grey from head-to-toe (grey shoes, shirts, pant, everything) is an easy, figure flattering way to look chic. Black is the "it" color. Wearing black is the easiest way to look chic and sophisticated. An easy way to make a solid black wardrobe more interesting is focusing on the details. Black pieces can be made more interesting by unique stitching, piping, shoulder pads or embellishments.

Blazers

Gustez Blazer available at Dean-Kingston $244

A blazer is a necessary element for any woman's wardrobe. A basic black blazer is just a basic that everyone should possess, this can be worn casual or business like. A boyfriend blazer is one of my favorite pieces of my wardrobe. It is so easy to throw this on with jeans, shorts, or even over a dress. The details in blazers are what really set the good ones apart from the rest; shoulder pads are a great detail, they make blazers look a little more feminine and create a great shape, unique buttons, pockets, stitching, and lining are all things that should be considered when purchasing a blazer.

Shoulder Pads

Shoulder pads! I know the 80's are back with vengeance! Shoulder pads are one of the most popular and important trends being seen right now. They make every outfit look stylish and polished. They are found on everything from dresses, to shirts, blazers and coats. Shoulder pads are extremely figure flattering. Every women who wears shoulder pads is given the illusion of having an hour glass shaped body.

Embellished Shoulders

Embellished shoulders are a new detail being seen on shirts and dresses. This trend can also be seen on the runway by multiple designers.. This detail allows versatility; the same shirt can be worn casual with jean shorts or dressy with a leather skirt. Incredibly figure flattering, this detail can be worn by a woman of any age and with various styles.

WeR Apparel

Welcome to the world of "we R apparel".
This bold statement comes from the fact that our intrinsic line is unique and can
only be categorized as something exclusive in the over-saturated t-shirt market.

"we R apparel" focuses on 3 specific areas:

1. DESIGN:
With almost two decades of garment graphic design experience, we offer a
unique look, sense of style and expression to the t-shirt world. We are dedicated
to excellently crafted designs, skillfully and strategically placed to express one's
individual taste and style.

2. FIT:
We offer some of the best fitting garments available. Form fitting, with a style
that is geared towards the fashion extremist. We feel that it does the wearer no
good if they have an amazing graphic on an uncomfortable, sloppy-fitting shirt.
The same is true if one has a great fitting tee with horrific and tired designs.

"we R apparel" offers comfort, style and form fit with every garment. Each
custom print is dyed directly onto the shirt... so say goodbye to the "thick and
uncomfortable inks" that come with most existing t-shirt lines.

3. EXCLUSIVITY: In design... In garment... In distribution...
"we R apparel" has made the common observation. You don't want to buy a
shirt that the only lasting impression you make is your shirt taste matches the
other 100 people you see out or at the club. Or even worse, wearing gear that
puts you in a group that stands around wishing they knew what fashion was.

Our designs are kept to limited run numbers. "we R apparel" designers and
ownership are fashion purists who won't allow their line to be oversaturated.

We sell only to fashion-savvy boutiques with an identity that puts quality, design,
and fashion focus as their approach to retail. "we R apparel" believes in protecting
their label, their look, and their stores.

Welcome again to our world... We know you'll love it here!

Chidgey Leather - Stand out. Don't Settle.

Rarely satisfied with the way things are, John-Paul Chidgey has always felt compelled to improve on mediocrity. Whether it's practicing law, competing in triathlons, or crafting leather, his way of doing things has always allowed him to stand out. Each piece is made personally by him; just his hands, a piece of leather, and a desire to make each one better than the last.

Herringbone Braid

The herringbone braid is a great summer hairstyle that is being seen on runways and in magazines. It is easy and takes your style to another level. Everyone has been asking for the directions so here they are.

Directions:

  2. Insert your left index finger through the strand, bottom to top, separating the section into two strands.  Use your right hand to finish separating the two strands.
  1. Gather a small section of hair from the right side of the head.
  2. Move the section over your index finger and combine it with the left hand strand (between your thumb and index finger.)
  1. Transfer both strands to your right hand.
  2. Gather a small section of hair from the left side of the head.
  3. Move the section over your index finger and combine it with the right-hand strand (between your thumb and index finger.)
  4. Transfer the strands back into your left hand.
  1. Repeat 3-8 until there is no more hair to add.
  2. Take the right strand in your right hand and the left strand in your left hand.
